Swizzle Market, 4130 W. Jefferson Blvd., is reimagining your expectations about adult beverages. The alcohol-free retail store is now open in Jefferson Pointe and the boutique boasts a wide selection of alcohol-free beverages.
It’s the inspiration of Crystal Van Wallstrom, who jumped into the non-alcohol scene after her disappointment with little to no drink options. Statistics show more and more adults opting away from traditional social drinks.
Alcohol-free doesn’t mean free of flavor or the craft of brewing, distilling, and winemaking.
Swizzle is open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is located between J. Jill and Talbots.
Abreus extends hours
Abreus Cuisine, 2242 Goshen Road, is mixing things up as we head into summer.
On top of ramping up their food truck for their Venezuelan fare for Friday and Saturday events, they will serve Tuesday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at their brick-and-mortar shop beginning June 3.
Rune adjusts hours, set to open patio
It’s all part of growing and adapting to the needs of diners, says Sean Richardson, Rune Restaurant’s chef and owner.
That means they are adjusting hours and creating a patio dining area at 2725 Broadway. The restaurant is now open 5-10 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and serving brunch from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sundays.
Rune will open its patio for dining Thursday. The area will add 32 additional seats.
They also tease us to watch for news on a “big patio bash” coming in June.

Chick-fil-A introduces new sandwich
Chick-fil-A is introducing a new sandwich and bringing back another favorite.
The Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich will hit stores June 10. It’s a lemon-herb-marinated chicken breast with pepper-jack cheese, lettuce, and bacon in a sugar and pepper blend.
The popular peach milkshake is coming back the same day.
If that’s not enough innovation, there’s word of other menu items in development and being tested in a few restaurants.
Green Frog goes back on the market
A Fort Wayne landmark is up for sale again.
In May 2023, Corey Noble and Stephanie Bonner purchased The Green Frog Inn from the late Cindy Henry. Now, a listing from real estate firm Bradley Company has the beloved neighborhood pub at the corner of Spring Street and Sherman Boulevard on the market for $495,000.
The Green Frog was owned by Henry about 20 years, but has been a staple in the city’s northwest neighborhood since 1933. Henry died in January.
