This year marks 60 years since the formation of Exile and the 50th anniversary of their self-titled debut album.

The pop-turned-country band has sold more than 8 million albums worldwide, making a career of it with hits like “Kiss You All Over,” “Woke Up in Love,” and “Give Me One More Chance.” They are also responsible for writing well-known songs for fellow country stars Alabama, Restless Heart, and Diamond Rio, as well as ’80s darlings Huey Lewis and the News.

Still anchored by original guitarist and co-lead vocalist J.P. Pennington, Exile will bring their large catalog of hits to the Monroeville Community Park on Friday, Aug. 18, for a night of music presented by St. Rose School.

Local country favorites Mis Matched will open the show.
