Lineup filling out for Solfest at Metea Park

Good news folks, Solfest will take place this year on Saturday, June 10, from 11a.m.-10 p.m. at Metea County Park between Fort Wayne and Leo-Cedarville, and the musical lineup is one you will not want to miss.

Formerly held at Fox Island County Park, last year’s event at Parkview Field was used as a fundraiser to replace thousands of trees destroyed in a storm at Fox Island. This year, proceeds will go toward Fox Island and Metea Park. Entry is just $10 and kids under 10 are free.

You will want to bring a towel, as you’ll be free to take a dip in the park’s pond while also enjoying local vendors, visiting environmental organizations, taking in fire and LED shows by Pyroscope, while the kids enjoy face-painting, henna, and plenty of other activities. There will also be kayaking and drinks furnished by Mad Anthony Brewing.

There will be plenty of local acts performing throughout the day including Moser Woods, Left Lane Cruiser, U.R.B., Grateful Groove, The Wailhounds, Los Galaxy, and Phil Schurger on the main stage. Over at the acoustic stage, you can enjoy jams by Adam Baker, Dan Dickerson, Dos Banjos, Esther Rose, Gracie Jo, Sunny Taylor, Shelly Dixon, Patti Whitemoss, and young performers from the School of Rock. Schaffer Multimedia will also be around to supply music all day and night.
