Nestled between shows in Cleveland and Indianapolis, Tim Henson and Scott LePage of progressive rock band Polyphia will stop at Sweetwater Sound on Wednesday, April 5, at 7 p.m.
The guitar virtuosos will be in town as part of a free demonstration with Fishman. After discussing their musical journey, the two will discuss Fishman Fluence pickups, demonstrate Fluence pickups’ voicings and give examples of how they’re used, and how the pickups have inspired their creativity. There will also be a question-and-answer and performance.
Polyphia have released four studio albums, beginning with 2014’s Muse, but it was their EP Inspire that put them on the map thanks to the song “Impassion” that went viral on YouTube.
The band, which also consists of Clay Gober on bass on Clay Aeschliman on drums, released Remember That You Will Die in September, featuring guest appearances from Chino Moreno of Deftones and Steve Vai.
Although the appearance at Sweetwater is free, you will still need to register to ensure a seat by going to sweetwater.com/events.
