Fort Wayne has several opportunities for early Easter egg hunts before the April 9 holiday.
On Saturday, April 1, you can get your hunt on at The Ridge Church, 6424 St. Joe Road, at 11 a.m. with free lunch and portraits afterward.
Calvary United Methodist Church, 6301 Winchester Road, will have a hunt at 1 p.m. with crafts, a jelly bean guessing game with a $25 gift card prize, and snacks.
At Evans Toyota, 515 Coliseum Blvd. W., at 1 p.m. there will be a balloon creation, games, candy, and prizes.
Resurrection Lutheran Church, 14318 Lima Road, will host its third annual Easter Glow with pizza, pop, and prizes for sixth-12th graders at 9 p.m. on Friday, March 31, then their egg hunt at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1. The public is invited to this free hunt that is open to toddlers through fifth graders. Each participant will receive candy as well as an egg to exchange for a special prize.
Besties Brunch for Youtheatre
Fort Wayne Youtheatre will hold its second annual Besties Brunch fundraiser on June 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Embassy Theatre.
There will be bottomless mimosas, a brunch buffet, shopping from local vendors, heartwarming testimonials, and a silent auction.
Tickets are $80, $150 for a pair, or $700 for a table of 10. Tickets will go fast, so order them now at fortwayneyoutheatre.org.
Activities picking up at Eagle Marsh
Little Rivers Wetlands Project and Fort Wayne Area City Nature Challenge will host INaturalist Training at the Eagle Marsh barn, 6801 Engle Road, from 1:30-3 p.m. on Saturday, April 1.
Learn to observe wildlife and use the INaturalist app to contribute to biodiversity science. Collect data to be used by scientists worldwide or create your own field guide and participate in the second Fort Wayne Area City Nature Challenge.

On Tuesday, April 4, from 9-11 a.m., nature enthusiasts will meet up for a free hike at the Eagle Marsh barn. Hikers are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and to bring binoculars to view the sites of Eagle Marsh.
