The 10th Annual Picked by the Pros Wine Tasting Dinner not only aims to quench your thirst and feed your soul, but also helps support your local public radio stations, WBOI and WBNI.

The two-hour pre-dinner wine tasting is hosted by local wine retailer WineTime and is focused on introducing and providing quality wines from around the world at a wide range of price points, appealing to the budget conscious as well as to those who have a little more disposable income.

Wines are chosen specifically for this event and are available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds from each sale going to benefit WBOI and WBNI.

Pairing suggestions and tasting notes for every bottled are provided by WineTime owner Jeff Armstrong in preparation for the six-course dinner that begins with an appetizer, progresses through a salad, soup, pasta, and entrée, and ends with dessert. Each course is paired with a wine to match the food. And a discussion, lead by Cheers! Wine Consultants, takes place with tasting tips and more expert pairing advice being shared.

The event also includes live music, a silent and a live auction and, of course, the always popular wine pull where each bottle available for the “drawing” is wrapped up to disguise its identity and patrons “pull” them at random, sending them home with old and new favorites alike.
