He looks like a long-haired Colonel Sanders, tells jokes as well as much more famous comedians like Jay Leno, and plays guitar like a seasoned musician. He’s Heywood Banks and he will appear at the Wagon Wheel Theatre in Warsaw on Dec. 31.

Spend New Year’s Eve with a comedic genius and a Bob & Tom Show favorite. For those who aren’t familiar with the humor of Banks, a guy who used to visit the area quite frequently and even rode in the Three Rivers Parade on several occasions, he offers keen observations on everyday life and intersperses his humor with comical songs sung and played in a variety of styles from folk to country to rock to pop.

Some of his greatest “hits” include “Wiper Blades,” “18 Wheels and A Big Rig,” “Orange Barrels,” and “Big Butter Jesus.” Of course, you’ll want to stay for the entire show as Banks usually saves the best for last when he plays that difficult to learn instrument, the toaster, for his crowd favorite “Toast.”

In addition to his frequent appearances on The Bob & Tom Show, Banks has been featured in Rolling Stone and People and has appeared on A&E’s Evening at the Improv, MTV’s 1/2 Hour Comedy Hour, CNN’s Hollywood Minute, Caroline’s Comedy Hour, Entertainment Tonight, and Showtime Comedy Club Network.
