Things to Do in Fort Wayne and Beyond

It’s hard to find any bands that were able to survive the nu-metal era of the 2000s, but Disturbed were never really nu-metal in the traditional sense. They played alongside those bands on the obligatory Ozzfest’s of the time, but also stood above the crowd as something different, something to which we needed to pay attention.

Two decades later, we’re still paying attention as the band visits Fort Wayne on Oct. 7.

After a successful tour earlier this year in support of their latest album, Evolution, that saw them playing to more than 200,000 fans, the two-time Grammy nominees decided to keep the momentum going with additional dates that include a stop in the Summit City.

Though front man David Draiman recently pledged to “not tour so much” in order to keep his own life in balance, a Disturbed tour is a special thing and, it seems, he wants as many of the millions of Disturbed fans to have a chance to witness this tour as is feasibly possible.

Evolution was released just under a year ago and reached number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, drawing rave reviews from both fans and critics.

In This Moment, currently teasing the unknown release date of their forthcoming new album Mother, will open the show.
