ARTrageous is one of the Fort Wayne Museum of Art’s biggest annual fundraising events. It is designed to combine a night of fun, food, and excitement with chances to own a number of unique items offered up as part of an auction and a separate silent auction. This year’s black tie optional event takes place Friday, March 6, in the Gallery at the Museum of Art. Top-tier cuisine will be provided by Catablu and the auctions have tons of items and experiences you’ll no doubt want to bid on over and over again, especially knowing that the money is going to a great cause. The silent auction takes place throughout the night and includes packages for jewelry, travel, designer bags and sunglasses, and Botox. Kids’ packages include a ride-on toy from Peg Perego combined with a Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo experience. Art up for grabs include works from world-renowned artists like Rockwell, Dali, and Shapiro as well as some great pieces from local artists. The live auction commences after dinner is served and includes trips to Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; Harbor Springs, Mich.; Phoenix; and a blockbuster trip for eight to Greece. The funds that are raised during ARTrageous help the Fort Wayne Museum of Art continue to serve the community as the area’s largest resource for the visual arts. Tickets are available for purchase at fwmoa.org.
