Writer Penhollow snags national award
Whatzup feature writer Steve Penhollow won a top award recently from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists.
In the society’s 2021 contest honoring excellence in column writing, Penhollow took home second place in the “Humor (Print)” category for his “First Person” column in Whatzup.
The National Society of Newspaper Columnists is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the craft of column writing. It supports columnists nationwide in various ways.
The contest is open to columnists who contribute to newspapers and online media throughout the United States.
