Quick Hit: Theatre Arts Day
Free workshops will be at Arts United Center, PPG ArtsLab
The Fort Wayne Civic Theatretpresents a full day of behind-the-scenes theater workshops 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Arts United Center and the PPG ArtsLab.
Dubbed Theatre Arts Day, this is a free event open to anyone over the age of 14. Choose up to four different workshops from a variety that include technical and performance aspects of theater, including Dance for Musical Theatre, Stage Management, Lighting Design, Understanding Shakespeare, and How To Prepare For Auditions.
Fort Wayne native Dan Butler, who played Bulldog on Frasier, will be on hand at the end of the day for a question-and-answer and to present some humorous and constructive stories that may serve as a guide to becoming a “working actor” for a living.
