The Art Farm in Spencerville hosts artists to paint on site
Stop by The Art Farm in Spencerville on Saturday, Sept. 17, for the second annual Plein Air Invitational, featuring 10 professional artists creating paintings onsite.
The five-acre farmstead provides several perfect spots from which the artists can draw inspiration while practicing this centuries old art form developed by the French Impressionists to highlight their desire to paint light and its changing, ephemeral qualities.
A cash bar will be available along with light fare and jazz from the Phil Schurger Trio.
Selected items from each artist as well as the art created during the event will be available for purchase, making this an opportunity to get that perfect complement to your home or do some early Christmas shopping for someone special.
