LC Nature Park hosts activities to celebrate iconic mammal
Everyone knows that Saturday, Nov. 5, is National Bison Day, right?
Well, even if you didn’t, there’s still a chance to go all-in on the celebration as LC Nature Park in Roanoke presents a free day of activities hailing the official national mammal of the United States.
Beginning at 1 p.m., you can enjoy self-guided hikes through the nearly 5 miles of hiking trails, take part in nature-themed scavenger hunts, play bison bingo, view a bison display table and a bison presentation, take part in book readings for kids, and observe a Miami Nation display table.
Of course, there will be food trucks to help satisfy any hunger issues that arise, allowing for a full day’s worth of bison fun.
