Originally from Philadelphia, Nolan moved to Fort Wayne in 1947 where he discovered the Emboyd Theatre’s Grande Page Theatre Pipe Organ.

He was the house organist in 1952 when the theater became The Embassy and remained house organist until the theater fell dark in 1972.

He then played an important role in bringing Embassy Theatre back to life by playing a benefit show in 1975 that helped refurbish the building.

Without his talents, The Embassy might only be a memory today.
