At the Sweetwater Academy of Music and Technology, they love all types of music and want to take every opportunity to expose all of those styles to as many people as possible.

One of those opportunities will be Tuesday,  Feb. 28, from 7-9 p.m., when girls 8 years old and older can learn to create unique beats from professionals in the business.

Beat Making for Girls instructors Karis Schwab and Lizzy Tremaine will teach the basics of beat making and the fundamentals of MIDI. They will use curriculum developed by world-renowned educator Erin “Mamma” Barra, to introduce Ableton Live, the industry’s most popular beat production software.

If you can’t make it this time, it repeats the last Tuesday of every month.
