But the Honeywell Foundation, which has made good use of its 13-24 Drive-In to provide both movies and concerts this summer, has plans for a virtual holiday show.
Tickets are now available for a Jim Brickman virtual concert on Sunday, Dec. 20, at 8 p.m.
Brickman is no stranger to Fort Wayne, having visited the Embassy Theatre and the Purdue Fort Wayne campus to share his popular piano renditions of his own hits and the beloved songs of others.
With the entire Christmas song catalog at his disposal, the evening will be one to remember — and you can even attend in your jammies.
Tickets are $40, $75, and $125, which includes an Interactive Zoom Room, online Meet & Greets, and Christmas gifts delivered to your door.
A portion of the proceeds of this online event help support the Honeywell Center.
Happy little art show
If you’re looking for some fun before that, look no further than Wunderkammer Company on Friday, Oct. 30, from 6-9 p.m.
Fans of Bob Ross — and who doesn’t love Bob Ross? — will want to head out for a very loving tribute to the late master who charmed the world with his gentle and accessible approach to painting.
In that spirit, a group of Ross admirers in our area decided to spend their COVID-19 isolation recreating Ross’ paintings together — but apart.
Those individual efforts will be on display at the end of the month at Wunderkammer.
A silent auction will be held to sell them with proceeds going to Fort Wayne Trails.
The event is free but donations to Fort Wayne Trails are encouraged. A cash bar will be available.
Shipshewana at the coliseum
For those who may have had to forego trips to Shipshewana this summer, there’s good news!
Shipshewana is coming to Fort Wayne. Or at least the Shipshewana On The Road Gift, Food, and Craft Show is.
All the fun trinkets and craft items that have put the town on the map will be as close as the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Halloween weekend.
Open Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., admission for the event is just $5 for one day or $8 for both with children 12 and under admitted for free.
