Contemporary Christian pop act the Sidewalk Prophets got their start in the hallowed halls of Anderson University where then students Dave Frey and Ben McDonald met and became friends. They discovered a mutual love of music and recorded a demo together. Unbeknownst to them, another friend took the demo to a campus recording contest.

A performance slot, radio play, and record contracts followed. So did a move to Nashville, a GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year, six studio albums, and more than 10 chart-topping singles, including “The Words I Would Say,” “You Love Me Anyway,” “Live Like That” and “Help Me Find It.”

The band (Frey on vocals, McDonald on rhythm guitar, Cal Joslin on bass, Justin Nace on drums and Daniel Macal on lead guitar) be at Wabash’s Honeywell Center Sunday, May 20 as part of their Something Different tour.
