Former NPR radio host Robert Siegel is stopping by the Sweetwater Performance Theatre on May 28 for an evening that includes an onstage interview conducted by WBOI’s Katy Anderson and Peter Dominowski.
During the presentation, Siegel will share his insights on key events he has reported on from the last 40 years, including the Cold War, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Clinton impeachment, Brexit, and the never-ending controversy surrounding President Trump. At some point he’ll also take questions from the audience.
Siegel was a host of All Things Considered on NPR for more than 30 years. The program was, at his time, the country’s most listened to afternoon drive-time news radio program and his voice became a familiar sound for listeners on their daily drive home.
During his career, Siegel reported on stories and happenings from all over the globe and visited many of the places he reported about, including many locations in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. He retired in early 2018.
Prior to the evening event at Sweetwater, you can meet and chat with Siegel in a small group setting while enjoying a gourmet lunch with other friends and fans of 89.1 WBOI and NPR at Club Soda in downtown Fort Wayne. This is a separate ticketed event. Both events offer a unique chance to meet one of the most iconic men in radio history and find out the “real” story behind some of history’s greatest events.
