Thankfully, we are lucky enough to have a handful of tribute bands like The Mersey Beatles come to the Summit City from time to time to help remind us of what it may have been like a little more than 50 years ago when The Fab Four were seemingly everywhere and taking America by storm.
While other tribute bands may claim to be “authentic,” The Mersey Beatles experience really is as close as you will ever come to seeing the real thing. All the members of The Mersey Beatles are from Liverpool, home of The Beatles, so they have first-hand knowledge of what it was like to grow up and live in the English port city. They have the same accents, some of the same background, and an authentic wardrobe to help make the experience feel just right. The guitars, amps and drums are replicas of what The Beatles had and, while shows tend to be unique from night to night, the set list is made up of songs you undoubtedly know by heart.
The British Beatles Fan Club even declared The Mersey Beatles as “the best Beatles tribute band around.”
