The night before Thanksgiving has always been a special night in Fort Wayne with the traditional lighting of Santa and his reindeer on the side of the PNC building. The ceremony floods downtown with thousands of people.

In response, other happenings have popped up to provide family and friends with something to do before they start preparing the annual feast that will put them into a “turkey coma” by the end of the following day.

One such event that commenced just last year and enjoyed some great participation is the Let’s Get Lit Pub Crawl. The crawl pairs local breweries with local restaurants with a common goal of showcasing the best of what the area has to offer in food and drink. This event also takes place in downtown Fort Wayne, from 4-9 p.m., with stops at many of the Summit City’s more popular watering holes and breweries.

While a final list of participating businesses continues to be developed, some of the confirmed hosts include 816 Pint and Slice, The Dash-In, The Ruin, Caliente Cuban Café, JK O’Donnell’s, and Trubble Riverside.

Featured brews will come from members of the Northern Indiana Brewers Association including Mad Anthony Brewing, 2 Toms Brewing Company, Summit City Brewerks, Chapman’s Brewing Company, Kekionga Cider Company, LaOtto Brewing, and Trubble Brewing.

Make it a two-fer: We know Santa and the reindeer are going to get lit. Now you can, too.
