Michigan-based blues guitarist Jake Kershaw released his first album, Piece of My Mind, while still in high school. It quickly caused the industry to take notice of the budding young guitarist, allowing him to share the stage with other blues greats such as Walter Trout, Jonny Lang, Larry McCray, Albert Cummings, and Anthony Gomes.
Even though he’s still not old enough to legally buy a beer, Kershaw has already established himself as a “must see” live act.
During the recent lockdown, he put his time to good use by expanding his horizons and releasing new music in the form of stand-alone singles.
He delved into the world of country, rock, and even some pop music, but there’s no doubt that blues remains at his core.
Although he connects weekly with fans through livestreaming concerts, Kershaw is itching to get back to the road and experience real-time audience reactions in person.
He will get that chance when he visits Buck Lake Ranch in Angola on June 19. Expect a high-energy show, much on the level of Gomes or Lang, with some great songs and stellar musicianship.
Kershaw will pay homage to the blues greats he grew up emulating, all on the grounds of one of the oldest outdoor music venues in the country
