All the favorites are back – and then some – at this year’s Bluffton Street Fair, which takes place Tuesday, September 18, through Saturday, September 22. The Midway is open each day, with bracelet prices ranging from $15 to $20. Car lovers will enjoy the Antique Classic Car Show and Parade on September 19. Registration starts at noon, awards are handed out at 5:30, and the parade begins at 6 p.m.
The highlight of the fair is the music, and there’s plenty of variety. The Street Fair Band will play more than a dozen times during the course of the fair.
Local group The Brat Pack will take you back to the days of Frank, Dean, and Sammy during a show at 6 p.m. on September 18. The group from Fort Wayne formed in 2009 and has performed at the Bluffton Street Fair numerous times. The show lasts one hour and leads up to the grand opening parade.
The Bulldogs perform at 7 p.m. on September 21. They’ve been touring all over northern Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio and will make you miss the good ol’ days of drive-ins and sock hops.
Think you have what it takes to perform in front of a crowd? The live singing competition Bluffton Street Fair Idol is September 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Washington Street stage. Auditions take place at Life Church at 6 p.m. on September 16.
Mr. Speed: A Tribute to KISS bridges the gap between KISS fans of the ’70s and the new legions of the KISS Army. The band rocks on to the Kehoe Park Amphitheater stage at 9 p.m. on September 22. The show combines elements reminiscent of a KISS performance and all of the original group’s chart-topping hits. ()
