With the “State I’m In” tour, part-time Staind frontman and full-time outlaw country star Aaron Lewis has been touring the country with his full-band live show, spotlighting some of the singer’s biggest hits, including “Country Boy,” “Endless Summer,” and “That Ain’t Country.” Currently supporting his newest album, the aptly titled State I’m In, the self-proclaimed “Northern Redneck” will appear at the historic Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne on Nov. 7.
Throughout his more than two-decade career, whether topping the charts with his hard rock band earlier in the century or as a No. 1 artist on the country charts as a solo artist, Aaron Lewis has always been painfully honest in his music. As most music fans can tell you, the biggest benefit of seeing any music act live is the connection between the artist and the audience. That is never more evident than when Lewis hits the stage and gives audiences a chance to see a different side of him and a better understanding of his music. This show is another opportunity for that to happen.
“That’s all I’ve ever done,” he said in a press release for the tour. “My songs have always been me wearing my heart on my sleeve, my emotions on my sleeve, my misfortunes on my sleeve, and my sins on my sleeve.”
