The Club Room at The Clyde is hosting a new live music night each week. Every Tuesday from 8-10 p.m., country and bluegrass artists will be taking over The Club Room stage for their new Tuesday Night Country series.

In addition to the toe-tapping music, customers will be able to enjoy drink specials as well as an extensive menu that includes the Cowboy Burger, made from Wagyu beef and topped with bacon, BBQ sauce, onion rings or fried onions, and melted cheese. Whether you’re a county fan or not, that itself is worth the trip.

Upcoming shows include Joey Lamping on March 17, Rosalind & The Way on March 24, Debutants on March 31, and Oferle on April 14.

The Tuesday Country & Bluegrass nights are being added to an already-full calendar that features Blues Jam Sessions with G Money every Monday, Jazz Sessions featuring Alicia Pyle Quartet every Wednesday, and Friday Night Vibes presented by WBOI featuring local bands and musicians every Friday. And all shows are free.

League of their own at the Pavilion

The Sweetwater Performance Pavilion has added country rockers Pure Prairie League to their summer concert lineup for the evening of Sunday, Sept. 27.

Formed in the mid-1960s, the group is probably best known for their runaway 1972 hit “Amie” and the 1980 chart-topper “Let Me Love You Tonight.” Over the years, they recorded for a number of record labels and had various musicians in and out of the band, one of which was country star Vince Gill.

Make sure to add this show to your calendar and see firsthand why Pure Prairie League continues to embellish the rich 50-year history of one of country-rock’s pioneering forces.

Their Sweetwater performance will include openers The Why Store

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 13, at 10 a.m. at the Sweetwater campus and via Sweetwaterpavilion.com.

Zephaniah loves zebah

With the departure of longtime frontman Logan Detwiler, local thrashers Zephaniah were faced with filling some big shoes. During auditions, the band came across some top-notch candidates before finding their man, or shall I say woman.

Forging forward, the band will be led by female vocalist Zebah. The decision was a no brainer according to the band as it became apparent the moment she started belting out their lyrics.

Zebah was raised here in the Hoosier state and is a classically trained musician with a bachelor’s degree in music education from VanderCook College of Music. She also plays the cello and alto sax. Her father is Iranian and that’s where the flamboyant name Zebah comes from.

The new lineup has only a couple of shows under its belt thus far, but you can guarantee plenty more are on the horizon.

As of press time, Zephaniah have no local shows booked but will be performing on Saturday, April 11, at Black Circle Brewing Co. in Indianapolis. Welcome aboard, Zebah!
