The Clyde Theatre has locked down another stellar act, K.Flay, on Friday, Sept. 10. The Illinois-born, Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and rapper has risen to international recognition, receiving Grammy nominations and touring with the likes of Imagine Dragons, AWOLNation, Third Eye Blind, and Dashboard Confessionals. 

Fresh off the release of her latest EP, Inside Voices, K. Flay has embraced her artistry and found freedom in writing music. With new material comes a tour, and it’s coming to our backyard.

Battle of the Bands

Copper Canyon Tobacconist & Cigar Bar will host the second annual FWPBC (Fort Wayne Pitbull Coalition) Battle of the Bands on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 4-8 p.m. Last year’s reigning champ, The Kickbacks, will be there to defend their title against a highly talented lineup of Element:Indigo, Calloused, The Paper Heart, Mud Creek, and ¡FUA!

The winning band will receive 10 studio hours at Sweetwater Studios. The event will have food trucks, drinks, cigars, and a gated enclosed patio for you to come and meet some cute adoptable dogs. This is a 21-and-over event with a low dough cover of $5.

Ragtag bunch together for Celtic Folk  

The Ragtag Bunch are pleased to announce that they will be performing in The Tiger Room at Welch’s Ale House on Friday, Sept. 17. 

The Ragtag Bunch is a collection of friends from across the greater Fort Wayne area brought together by a love for old Celtic folk music and a desire to sing and drink together. If you dig Irish and Celtic folk, then make sure to add this on your calendar. 

The band Shrugging Sister will open the show. Also, rumor has it The Ragtag Bunch will be doing some live recording that evening for an upcoming album. 

Advance tickets are $10 and can be purchased via Eventbrite.com with a portion of the sales being donated to local families to assist with the fees and costs associated with adoption. 

Let there be rock

Although AC/DC have not performed in Fort Wayne since “The Razors Edge Tour (’90),” the Australian rockers’ music still holds true in these parts. 

If you are a fan, then you will be stoked to hear Thunderstruck: Americas AC/DC Tribute will be back in the area on Saturday, Aug. 21, for a performance at Timber Ridge Golf Course and Club 250 Event Center in Bluffton. 

Each time these guys roll into town, the venue is packed to the brim with people enjoying the hard-rock riffs of one of the most iconic rock bands in history. 

Rock the Ridge will also include performances by local favs 906 Band and LiveWire while you indulge in the Mexican food buffet and dessert bar. There will also be a full bar and door prizes.
