Hailing from Northern California, the band rose to fame in the ’80s largely due to their run of ballads including “When You Close Your Eyes,” “Goodbye” and, of course, “Sister Christian.” But it was songs like “(You Can Still) Rock In America” and “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me” that really showed off their talents and made them a “must-see” event every time they have visited the area over the years.
Not content to sit on their laurels and enjoy the fact that they have sold well over 15 million albums, Night Ranger are still making new music and just released their newest album, Don’t Let Up, last year. You’ll likely hear a song or two off of that album when the band visits the Sweetwater Pavilion August 25 as part of their 35th Anniversary Tour, but the night will largely be filled with the hits we all know and love.
With Night Ranger, you get it all: ballads for the tenderhearted, monster solos and big choruses for the rockers, and world-class showmanship for those that just love to go to concerts. What more can you ask for?
