It’s always fun to catch a band on the way up because when they get huge, you’ll always have that story of “I saw them before they were big.”
Castle Black are gaining the reputation as one of those bands you should probably go see sooner rather than later. Your chance comes when they stop by The Ruin in Fort Wayne on Sept. 18.
Based in Brooklyn, Castle Black blend punk, grunge, alternative, and new wave into a powerful and thunderous sound that is striking a chord with listeners across the country. Never known for sacrificing a hook in favor of a song, the band writes instantly memorable tracks that depict life stories and tackle social issues while expanding the boundaries of the rock genres with which they are most associated.
Currently on tour in support of their latest EP, Dead in a Dream, the band are hoping to ramp up anticipation for the release of their first full-length album, Take Her My Life, due this fall.
Their intense live show will not only test the health of your eardrums but is visually stimulating as well as the band covers every inch of the stage and perform with unmatched energy, leading the NY Music Daily to describe one performance as “impossible to tell what was coming next, except that it was bound to be loud and hard and intense and catchy.”
