The Clyde just added a couple more worthy shows to their ever-growing lineup.

The other Clyde announcement is that the Canadian rock band Theory of a Deadman will embrace the stage on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The band is signed to Roadrunner Records as well as 604 Records (owned by Nickleback’s Chad Kroeger). The band have a total of seven top 10 hits on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, including two No. No. 1 hits, “Bad Girlfriend” and “Lowlife.”

Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, May 31, at 10 a.m. at clydetheatre.com and (800) 514-3849 or in person at The Clyde box office, all three Wooden Nickel locations, Neat Neat Neat Records, and Sweetwater Sound.

Agen opening for Seger

So were you as stoked as I was when the news broke that our own Addison Agen is going to be opening for Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band?

Agen will perform during four of Seger’s six concerts next month at the DTE Energy Music Theatre near Detroit, on June 6, 8, 12, and 14. Seger’s shows are sold out, but most folks know that there are always tickets to be had. It’s just how much you’re willing to fork over.

Midweek music

Between running the kids to ball games and keeping up with household chores, it can be hard to break free and catch some of our local talent. Well, that is about to change with Lunch Time Concerts at Library Plaza.

These free concerts will be held on the lawn of the downtown library on the second Wednesday of the month beginning on June 12 with live music by New Millennium Jazz Orchestra. It will be followed by Fort Wayne Funk Orchestra on July 10 and The Bergamot on August 14. The concerts will run from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and will also feature Bravas, Flora & Lily’s Mexican Kitchen, and Whip & Chill food trucks.

Lunch on the square returns

Speaking of lunch, Lunch on the Square returns to Freimann Square every Thursday throughout the summer from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. This family-friendly event allows folks to grab lunch from a local food truck or eatery and enjoy live music while chilling by the fountain.
