Following a two-year hiatus, the Middle Waves Festival is set to return this summer – albeit with a different look.

After the previous three festivals were held at Headwaters Park, this year’s event is scheduled for June 17-18 at the Foellinger Theatre campus.

“We’re so excited to host Middle Waves 2022 on the Foellinger Theatre campus,” festival co-chair Beth McAvoy said in a press release. “We’re known for giving festivalgoers a unique experience, and we’re excited to use a community gem in a new way.”

The two-day festival, presented by Sweetwater Sound, features an eclectic mix of more than 20 musical artists performing on three separate stages, one of which is free to attend. Among past artists to perform at the festival are the Flaming Lips, Lizzo, MGMT, Dr. Dog and IDLES.

Along with music, there are also interactive art installations, food trucks, and beverages.

Two-day general admission tickets are $85 and two VVIP passes are $165, available at www.middlewaves.com. Prices will increase when the lineup is announced in early spring and again June 10.
